Mini Notification Center
The Mini Notification Center allows users to quickly view alerts, analytics events, and system notifications directly within the Oncam Core Video interface.
It provides a centralized place to review recent events without interrupting your live monitoring workflow. Notifications may include analytics triggers, device status changes, administrative updates, and other system events.
Accessing the Mini Notification Center
Locate the Notification Bell icon in the top-right corner of the screen.
If new notifications are available, a number badge will appear on the bell icon indicating how many unread notifications are present.
Click the bell icon to open the Mini Notification Center.
The notification panel will appear on the right side of the screen, displaying the most recent notifications.
Understanding Notifications
Each notification entry provides key information about the event that occurred.
1. Read and Unread Indicator
A circle icon appears on the left side of each notification.
Yellow dot inside the circle – The notification is Unread
Empty circle – The notification has been Read
Users can click this icon to toggle the notification between read and unread status.
2. Timestamp
Each notification includes a timestamp showing when the event occurred.
Example:
14:42:06
This helps users quickly identify when the event was triggered.
3. Snapshot Image
Each notification includes a thumbnail snapshot captured at the time the event occurred.
The snapshot provides a visual reference for the event and may represent:
Analytics triggers
Motion detection
Camera tampering alerts
Camera health notifications
Device status events
For rule-based analytics events, the snapshot may include visual overlays showing the configured detection rule that triggered the event.
Examples include:
Region Motion Detection
Object Detection
Line Crossing
Loitering detection
Counting analytics
These overlays help identify exactly where the event occurred in the scene.
4. Event Description
Each notification contains two lines of text.
Bold Text
Displays the type of event that occurred.
Example:
An object has crossed Blue Slide
Standard Text
Displays the camera that generated the event.
Example:

5. Multi-Organization Notifications
If a user account has access to multiple organizations, notifications from those organizations may also appear in the Mini Notification Center.
In these cases:
A blue building icon appears next to the notification.
This indicates the notification belongs to a different organization than the one currently being viewed.
Notifications from the currently selected organization will not display the building icon.
Notification Actions
Users can interact with notifications directly within the Mini Notification Center.
Mark a Notification as Read or Unread

When viewing the enlarged snapshot, directional arrows appear on both sides of the image.
These arrows allow you to review other notifications without closing the viewer.
Left Arrow
Moves to the previous (newer) notification.
Right Arrow
Moves to the next (older) notification.
The navigation functions as a continuous scroll through the notifications currently listed in the Mini Notification Center. As you move through notifications using the arrows, the viewer continues cycling through the available notifications without a defined start or end point.
