The Connectors page gives you a centralized view of all Oncam Connectors in your organization, allowing you to monitor their status, update settings, and manage integrations efficiently.
An Oncam Connect can be used to connect non-Oncam, ONVIF-compliant cameras to Oncam Core.
This article explains how to manage an Oncam Connect and any connected non-Oncam cameras once the device has been added to your organization. To set up the Oncam Connect initially, please refer to the Quick Start Guide here.
Connector Details
Click on an available Connector to view the following information:
IP Address – Displays the IP address of the connector, assigned by DHCP.
Firmware Version – Shows the current firmware version of the connector.
Status – Indicates the operational status of the connector.
Disk Space – Coming Soon - Displays the available disk space on the connector.
Uptime – Coming Soon - Shows how long the connector has been online.
Retention – Coming Soon - Displays the expected retention compared to the actual retention the connector is achieving.
Display Name – Shows the user-assigned name of the connector.
Time Zone – Sets the time zone for the connector.
Add Cameras to the Connector
Before adding a camera to the connector, please make sure you’ve checked the following prerequisites:
ONVIF Profile – Ensure the ONVIF profile is enabled on your camera.
Network – Confirm the camera is on the same network as the connector.
Media Profiles – Verify the camera has two media profiles configured: one high-resolution and one low-resolution.
Credentials – Make sure the camera has a valid username and password.
Time/Date – Ensure the camera is set to the correct time and date.
To add a camera to the connector, follow the steps below:

Click the Add Camera button.

The connector will begin discovering ONVIF-compliant cameras on the same network.
Click the + icon to add the desired camera to the connector.

Enter the camera credentials (username and password).
Wait for the camera to be authenticated and added to the connector.
Once the camera has been added, you’ll be prompted to select the high and low profiles to be used by the connector.
Click Add, then refresh the page to confirm the camera has been successfully added to the connector.
Delete a Camera from the Connector

Click the Show Configured box and locate the camera you added to the connector.
Click the bin icon to delete the camera. It will be removed from the connector after a short period.
